Freedom: The Power of Unconsciousness

Last time I have wrote about being “In The Zone”, where consistency is an important ingredient for success.  And I also mentioned being “unconscious”, something that you can do when you want to see the end result of your efforts.

With everything that you have learned so far in life, from the books you have read, from others where you found inspiration, and from some other things that made you think “A-Ha”, it seems that there are a lot to take in.

That what you have known is very hard to organize.  Very hard to call out when you need it.  And everything is confusing you.

The other day, I was out cleaning our car, one of those moments that I find relaxing.  It is like one of those activities that if you will spend a couple of minutes, you’ll get the result that you want.

Like when you put an effort, you’ll get the result fast.  Because all you have to do is wash the car, and that is it.

I have done something stupid before I cleaned the car.  I have read around 2 to 5 articles about cleaning cars.  Well it is not really stupid, because I enjoyed a relaxing time reading articles, get to see pictures of new cars, and had a 'me' time as well.  But what I realize after reading the articles, I began changing my methods when it comes to cleaning the car.

Instead of me doing what I already know, I started to hesitate, change my style, and felt uncomfortable.  It felt like something is holding me back to do ‘my thing’ when it comes to cleaning the car.

I know it is just a simple task, but nevertheless it also applies to most of situations in our life.  Where we feel, and sometimes regret not using our freedom or our sense of being care free.

For most part of our life we will encounter or meet people around us that will tell us what are the preferred methods for different skills.  Since most of the people that have voices about what they do are experts, there is a greater tendency to believe them.

Which is not a bad thing of course.  Since experts have exerted their efforts, took time learning their skills and most of the time they spend hours using what they know to get the job right.  It is not a bad idea to listen and pay attention to what experts will say.

I know it is a bit confusing now, but I want you to remember that as an individual you have the power of choice, a privilege that we have since we were born, and even our brain tends to function on its own from time to time.

Without any filter.

Imagine, be an expert to your field, where you are the person that every one calls to do a specific task, or to consult to when they have any problems.  Don’t be afraid to voice out, do things your way.  Along with that add more knowledge to what you already know.

Use your freedom, your unconsciousness wisely.  It will be your source of doing things right, at the perfect timing.  Hold back if you need to, but do it only because you have to and if you are getting carried away.  If you ever feel, holding back is already costing you your sense of freedom to do things your way, then step back and reorganize.

In The Zone: How to Keep Moving Forward by Being Consistent

Hi, and welcome again to Between Paths, your online guide to self improvement.

Before I begin, I would like to say thanks to my Twitter Followers, specially to @35NextYears, @achieving, @GanjaGooBalls, and @Monspiration, who have retweeted some of my blog posts for the past few days.

I really appreciate the extra effort of spreading the word and hopefully a lot of people will reach my thoughts as Between Paths and me move forward.

Thank you again.

And for those who would like to follow me at Twitter, you may click

Now for this new blog that I have written for you guys, I have decided that it will be a great idea to start writing posts that are somehow connected to each other.  Since self improvement have certain ladders to success, there are definite connections to one behavior to another, if not most likely the whole thing of improving is connected.

I hope that made sense. :-)

Moving forward...

Defeat is Not The End: How to Recover and Never Give Up

In life there are things that we want to achieve, like a brand new car, a house near the beach, the promotion you've been waiting for, the physical look you want to have this summer, and so on, and so on.

Yet along the way, as time goes and as challenges made it difficult, we change our preference.  We end up feeling defeated, that we didn't get what we have hoped for, and 'distractions' has gotten in the way towards achieving our goals.

Well my friend, you are not alone.

Benefits of Reading

Reading is one of the basic skills we have learned, and as we get older and wiser, we tend to lose the interest of opening a book.

And since we are currently living in a world where information is readily available, it gives us more reason to ignore well published books.

How To Keep Up With Technology

Keeping up with technology can be hard at times. Especially, that the pace has reached a certain level that is way too fast for anyone to really keep up. But it doesn't mean that we should just stick with the old methods for us to survive. And luckily, whenever new technologies are about to make an impact, they have been reviewed before hitting the market.

The Importance of Ending The Day

Today, I would like to share the importance of ending the day right and how it plays a major piece for our next day.  Since we normally focus more on how we start our day by exercising to rev up our body, or watch the morning news to be updated, or eat a very healthy breakfast, ending the day plays a critical part to your productivity level, resting period such as sleeping, and most important the effect that it will give you to start your next day.

After all, a relaxing flight has a smooth take off to build momentum, and then followed by a stress free landing for a complete wonderful voyage.

Today I Will Change: How Simple Changes Brings a Better Future

We often think of our future, whether what lies beyond us or hoping for a better situation.  The more that we think about it, the more we either get frustrated or impatient.  No matter how we look forward to what will happen to us, nothing can start with just having a vision.  It really will start by making significant changes.  Changes that are part of the big picture of what we want to happen to our lives.

Why am I not Achieving Things?: A Thought about Getting Motivated

Most of the times we get demotivated when we think about things that we haven’t achieve.

“I did not get promoted.”
“Why can’t I finish my studies?”
“Why our relationship did not worked out?”
“Why am I still fat?”
“Why am I still stuck in the same situation?”
“And so on….”

Observe, Apply and Smile: Benefits of Learning from Others

While I am doing my morning reading, I came across this amazing young kid who is JUST 16 years, owns a business and the way he thinks is way over his years.  I was so amaze to know that that is possible.  Honestly, I became envy of him to know that at very young age, his mind set is to live his dream.  And he is actually living the dream as I write this essay.

Over the course of period, I found myself not learning from anyone and this kid opened my eyes that learning is really a never ending journey and not only that, that learning can be acquired from others.   This made me think how connected we really are to each other.  We just need to open our eyes, ears and for a moment let the brain absorb the information.

Part 2 of Goal Setting: How Small Goals Can Change Your Life

During my free time, I think of big goals in life like having a big house for my family, a new car that we can use to do errands, a long holiday to a different country, a stable financial situation when I retire and so on.  But I won’t reach those goals if I will just wait and do nothing to improve my life.  I started reading blogs to get insights and eventually found a really inspiring blog.  http://zenhabits.net/ by Leo Babauta has a cool interface, it easy to read because the layout is simple and there is a lot about achieving mini goals.  I have no affiliation with the website or the owner; I just want to share the great things that I found that may create meaningful life for everyone.

Getting Grips: How to Believe That it Will Turn Up

A couple of weeks ago, I suffered a massive lost of confidence about turning this blog around.  I lost the ability to believe that I can help people to develop their inner energy to be productive or to at least feel good about themselves.  The mission of this blog is really to help others by me doing research, share my experiences and organize the idea in a way that it will be easy to follow or to understand.

It stared after I got excited while I am learning to listen to a specific Pod Cast.  Well, I am not really blaming the awesome Pod Cast.  It was may be myself excitement that drew me to that specific energy that I can do a specific task far over my head then I lost the grip.  So for a couple of weeks I became sloppy, my health was a bit worst and my overall performance with whatever I do, think, feel etc. is really at a very low efficiency.
